The Shipley Nature Center in Huntington Beach holds a “restoration day” from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Friday of every month. The Friends of Shipley Nature Center invite the public to participate in planting, weeding, walking and other nature related activities the first Saturday of each month. A tour of the Shipley grounds begins at 11 a.m. Parking and admission are free. Information: (714) 842-4772.
