This Saturday, June 2, the Be More Healthy Expo will take place in the heart of Old Town Seal Beach in Eisenhower Park at the foot of the pier. There will be one full section dedicated to children. There will be Health professionals providing health screenings for glucose, stroke prevention, bone density, blood pressure, body analysis, chiropractic, acupuncture, skin care, healthy eating, safety, green cleaning and more. Scan Mobile Van will be doing free carotid artery screenings and the Seal Beach Lions will offer diabetes and eye screenings. The event runs from 9 a.m.-3 pm. There will be transportation to and from Leisure World located at the corner of 10th Street and Ocean Avenue.
“Living in Seal Beach, you have all the opportunities to get healthy,” said Expo Chairman Diana Bean of Optavia.
“Our goal is for you to come find out about your health and how you can start making small lifestyle changes for you and your family. Whether you’re a kid or a senior, we’ll have everything that fits your lifestyle,” said Bean. “From exercises that seniors can do to hardcore Zumba, we’ll have something for everyone.”
